Malcolm X. May 19, 1925-February 21,1965.

Hip hop, rap and spoken word artist Mos Def reads Malcolm X’s “Message to the Grass Roots”.

Malcolm X is a man who I dearly admire not just for his teachings but for who he was as a person and leader. He was a man who did not take no for answer and never gave up or thought of giving up for a second. His words did move mountains. His words moved me. Thank You Malcolm. I suggest all of those who haven’t watched the bioptic movie of the controversial and influential Black Nationalist leader, Malcolm X. Go rent it and watch it.

”I believe there will ultimately be a clash between the oppressed and those doing the oppressing. I believe that there will be a clash between those who want freedom, justice and equality for everyone and those who want to continue the system of exploitation. I believe that there will be that kind of clash, but I dont think it will be based on the colour of the skin.”
