Carmelo Anthony will have his college jersey retired at the Carrier Dome in February, Syracuse confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com.

Melo led Syracuse to the 2003 national championship as a freshman, will be honored at halftime during one of the Orange’s four home games next month.  Melo’s jersey hanging from the rafters will be unveiled during the ceremony. He also will be handed a special large-framed plaque with his No. 15 jersey, which has not been worn since his first and only season on campus. Then, he will be given the opportunity to address the home crowd.
